Toyota and the University of Ghana open the School of Engineering Sciences Training Center.
The Vice Chancellor of UG, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, emphasized how the Center will improve students’ hands-on learning, bridging the knowledge gap between academics and industrial training experiences, and ultimately better prepare students for careers and the workplace.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, praised the University’s engagement with Toyota Ghana and urged other research and educational establishments to pursue comparable collaborations.
He said that this kind of collaboration fosters relationships between academia and business, which in turn improves students’ competencies and skills and gets them ready for education in the twenty-first century.
