The social media platform’s users will now pay $8 per month for the badge, while businesses may have to spend up to $1,000 to have all of their personnel confirmed.

Also stripped of their verified badges are former US President Donald Trump, billionaire Bill Gates, and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
