As the new GRA director, Akufo-Addo names Julie Essiam to succeed Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah.

The president’s action comes a few days after Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said that GRA was taxing businesses unfairly because of its inflated expectations.

In addition to Mr. Kwabena Boaten, Mrs. Dela Obeng-Sakyi, Prof. Peter Ohene Kyei, Mr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, Madam Adelaide Ahwireng, Dr. Maxwell Opoku-Afari, and Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, the dissolved GRA Board was chaired by Dr. Anthony Oteng-Gyasi.

Ms. Julie Essiam was the Group Executive of the Ecobank Group, which has branches in 40 countries throughout North America, Europe, Africa, and other regions of the world, prior to her appointment.
