Madam Julie Essiam has been named by President Akufo-Addo as the new Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah is replaced by her. Madam Julie Essiam was the commissioner in charge of the GRA’s Support Services Division before her appointment.
Her appointment was made just hours after the GRA Board was dissolved by President Akufo-Addo.
The Dr. Anthony Oteng-Gyasi-led Board was dissolved, and no explanation was provided; nonetheless, there have reportedly been some recent disagreements.
