In related news, North Tongu NDC MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said that Ghana blew $1.5 million on the AFCON qualifiers.

He said that the expense of Ghana’s home and away games against Angola alone came to GHc7,452,437.71.

The congressman said that the expense of the home and away games against Madagascar came to GHc8,395,434.13.

A total of GHS3,414,894.51 is alleged to have been spent by the Sports Ministry on the two qualifying matches against the Central African Republic.

The Black Stars qualified for the Ivory Coast tournament by defeating Angola, the Central African Republic (CAR), and Madagascar in their group.
