Awuni also threatened Chairman Wontumi with legal action if he persisted in running for the NDC running mate. This was a strong warning.
“Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has been verbally attacked by him twice now, but she has not lost her composure. I, for my part, am giving him notice. If he says anything more nasty about her, the whole country will see our fight! I’m going to sue, and he can spend all his money on attorneys,” she swore.
Awuni’s position is in line with many people and civil society groups that are calling for Chairman Wontumi to issue an unequivocal apology, highlighting the importance of polite conversation in political discourse.
