In preparation for the doubleheader against Angola in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifications, new Black Stars manager Chris Highton has named his team.

The team, which was unveiled on March 9, 2023, has the typical suspects, like Mohammed Salisu, Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, and the Ayew brothers.

Jojo Wollacott Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru, Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorfer, and Edmund Addo are among the team’s returnees.

Felix Afena-Gyan, Ibrahim Danlad, Afriyie Barnieh, and many more celebrities, however, were not welcome.

There are no local players among the 25-man roster, which is dominated by players who play professionally in Europe.

The Black Stars’ match against Angola on March 23 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will mark Chris Hughton’s debut as the team’s primary manager.

The team will meet Angola in that nation four days later.
