According to Amazon Music, “The Tortured Poets Department” became the most listened album globally in its first week of release in just three days.

“Fortnight (feat. Post Malone),” the album’s lead single, was likewise well-received; it broke the record for most Spotify streams in a single day.

Swift shocked her fans in February when she revealed the album’s “secret” release date of April, all the while accepting the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2022 album “Midnights.”

Swift was previously the most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify with her 10th studio album, “Midnights.” Swift’s fourth rerecorded album, “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” also set a record in 2023 for the most streams an artist received in a single day on Spotify.

With over 26.1 billion plays globally in 2023, Swift also surpassed all other artists as Spotify’s most played artist.
