The Ejisu by-election has been scheduled according to the NPP’s approved schedule, with nominations beginning on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, ending on Thursday, April 4, 2024, and the election taking place on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
The NPP has formed an Election Committee (EC) to supervise the primary in order to guarantee a transparent and equitable procedure.
The chairman of the committee is Danquah Smith Butey; the vice chairman is Bernard Antwi Boasiako; the members are Patricia Appiagyei and Martha Kodua; and the secretary is Evans Nimako.
All Constituency Executives and the Chairperson of the Constituency Council of Elders will also be ex-officio members.
Stakeholders will have access to the comprehensive rules and regulations that the NPP has created to control the parliamentary primary’s conduct.
The date of the by-election has not yet been announced by the Electoral Commission. It is advised that interested parties and voters watch this space for developments.
