Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, the CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has been recognized as one of the top 50 public sector governance idols in the continent for the year 2023.

Another noteworthy turning point in her remarkable career was when she was acknowledged for her exceptional contributions to perfection in using the transformational agenda in small business growth.

The CEO of MASLOC received the award from the Africa Public Sector Leadership Awards, a platform that honors and celebrates outstanding leadership and creativity in the public sector throughout Africa, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the growth of micro- and small-scale businesses in Ghana.

This took place at the Accra-hosted inaugural Africa Public Sector Leadership Awards (APSLCA).

Under Hajia Zakariah’s direction, MASLOC has led a number of projects that support economic growth, empower small enterprises, make it easier for them to obtain financing, and create jobs locally.
