Owusu and Addae were accused by the prosecution of abusing the child for three days in 2021 with “at least four different instruments.” The boy’s health continued to worsen, and eventually he passed out.
Prosecutors alleged that Owusu and Addae did not give King medical attention or dial 911.
The boy was taken to a family member’s home on April 1, 2021, where Addae and Owusu left him. King was discovered dead, according to the prosecution, when the family member got home.
Authorities found that, as a result of the beatings, the kid had several injuries from “head to toe.”
On May 1, Owusu and Addae are due to be sentenced; they could spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
