Following the discovery of a note from the Board’s Information Systems Department suggesting the acquisition of iPad keyboards for the agency’s Board of Directors, the management of COCOBOD was criticized.
According to the message, the purchase would be consistent with the board’s use of the “CONVENE” app, which attempts to improve member collaboration and efficiency by minimizing the usage of paper and stationery during board meetings.
But COCOBOD’s response made it apparent that no transactions had taken place because the management had not approved the purchase of the iPad keyboards.
The public statement goes on to emphasize that the request was made only because the board adopted the app and wanted to improve the effectiveness and environmental friendliness of board meetings.
