Two vessels have been assigned to handle the problems affecting the vital underwater cables, according to a recent update from the NCA. The repair activities are proceeding as planned.

Together with the NCA, the four submarine cable service providers—SAT-3, ACE, WACS, and MainOne—have been actively involved in organizing the repair work.

According to the NCA update, the repair vessel is expected to reach the fault location by March 29, 2024, having sailed from Cape Town, South Africa, on March 19, 2024. Repairs are scheduled to start right now and should be finished by the second week of April 2024.
