John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for 2024, has promised to lower electricity rates and provide tax breaks to companies that use a 24-hour economic model.

Mahama wants to stimulate the economy by encouraging efficiency, productivity, and the development of a dynamic atmosphere.

Through time-of-use rates, he highlighted enhanced security, public safety, and affordable electricity, combined with tax advantages for enterprises adopting the 24-hour programme.

Mahama remarked that the 24-hour economy will prosper because we will provide better security and public safety, which will require enormous recruiting into the security services and private security operations. Mahama was delivering his New Year’s greeting to Ghanaians in Tamale, in the Savannah Region.

“My government will implement a time-of-use pricing system to supply participating businesses with electricity that is more affordable and dependable.
