President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is an expert in the mishandling of an economy, according to Steven Hanke, professor of Applied Economics at John Hopkins University.
Prof. Hanke asserts that it is not at all unexpected that 87% of Ghanaians believe President Akufo-Addo is leading their nation in the wrong path.
“BELIEVE IT OR NOT AT HANKS: 87% of Ghanaians, according to Afrobarometer, believe that their nation is moving in the wrong path. I am not shocked. The MASTER OF ECONOMIC MISMANAGEMENT has been President Akufo-Addo, he claimed in a tweet.
Since late 2019, Ghana’s economy has been in disarray, causing excruciating misery.
The COVID-19 outbreak and the Russia-Ukraine War have frequently been cited as causes of Ghana’s dire economic state by the government.
However, detractors like the UK-based Prof. Hanke blame the poor management of the government for Ghana’s economic woes.
