Since its founding nearly two decades ago, the Arbella Insurance Foundation has achieved a significant milestone in the last year, solidifying its position in the sector.
Since 2005, the group has supported charitable initiatives.
The foundation reported giving $3 million in 2023 to support 516 nonprofits in New England; this brings its total grants since the foundation’s founding in 2005 to over $43.2 million.
This year, the Arbella staff’s volunteerism and the foundation’s financial support went toward supporting established nonprofits that tackle important issues including immigration reform, social justice, and housing options.
The foundation also reported a significant level of volunteer assistance, with 470 staff members volunteering more than 1,300 hours in 2023 over 40 distinct activities for 22 organizations.
The foundation also highlighted its partnerships with Arbella staff members and independent contractors, who donate their time and offer insightful information on community needs. Together, the foundation, staff, and agents contributed $477,000. As a result of this cooperative effort, local charities benefited greatly in 2023 from donations and volunteer labor.
