In order to express gratitude, Ernest Abebe Tabi, a soldier, minister, and songwriter, wrote the song "Thank You Lord."
Ernest Abebe Tabi is an ordained Reverend Minister, a celebrated singer-songwriter, and a decorated soldier. His latest single,
“Thank You Lord” effectively combines his musical talent, military background, and spiritual calling. This moving song is more than just a song; it was inspired by a near-death experience that changed the singer’s life.

Giving thanks for God’s protection and providence is the cornerstone of Tabi’s ministry, in line with the timeless lesson found in Psalms 107:1 NIV, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” This theme resonates strongly with his most recent release.
Ernest Abebe Tabi, who was on board an RAF Voyager aircraft that crashed over the Black Sea on February 9, 2014, served as the inspiration for the song “Thank You Lord”. Instead of fear,
During that terrifying moment of sudden descent, Tabi’s initial response was automatic surrender and mutterings of “Jesus” and “Thank You Lord.” He recalls, “I was thanking God, but not because of what was happening.”
I knew that God was still in control because 1 Thessalonians 5:18 HCSB says, “Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” The pilot miraculously regained control and avoided disaster after a terrifying experience for which Tabi was extremely grateful.
Tabi transforms a very vulnerable moment into a worship song with the release of “Thank You Lord”. He calls the song his testimony, which serves as a constant reminder of God’s unfailing mercy and the profound gratitude it requires.

“Soldier’s salute to a faithful God”, Tabi’s single, aims to inspire listeners to reflect on their own experiences of divine intervention and to express gratitude for life, purpose, and grace—especially in the midst of internal and external conflict.
Ernest Abebe’s “Thank You Lord” is the latest single to be added to Tabi’s discography, which already consists of six singles. For the past 18 months, he has been actively releasing “God-given music”.

In addition to his musical endeavours, he is the organiser of the annual “Love2Worship” event, which promotes love and obedience to God through music and friendship.

Tabi urges everyone to seek knowledge of the Almighty in order to live a fulfilled life, as she continues to advocate for a life lived in love and obedience to God.
