In reaction to these alarming statistics, Ing. David Osafo Adonteng stressed during the start of the 2024 Road Safety Easter Campaign that the numbers indicate a 0.49% increase in crashes, a 1.37% increase in vehicles involved, and a 2.0% increase in persons injured.
Notably, compared to the first two months of 2023, the number of fatalities rose by 11.82%.
They have stressed how crucial it is to police traffic regulations strictly, improve driver education initiatives, and launch road safety campaigns to increase public awareness.
The NRSA has reaffirmed its dedication to working with pertinent parties to create all-encompassing plans targeted at lowering traffic fatalities and accidents.
