Esi Bentil began her musical career as a Sunday school vocalist in the church.
She began performing professionally as a musician in 2014, when she joined the live supporting vocals for several of Ghana’s legendary artists, like AB Crentsil, KK Kabobo, Naa Gyemang, Nana Ampadu, Pat Thomas, Paulina Oduro, etc.
Esi Bentil was a member of the 2016 VGMA Carpet Band, backing artists like Sarkodie, Akwaboah, Kofi Kinaata, Efya, and E.L.
In 2018, she made the decision to transition from a background vocalist to a full-fledged gospel artiste and began working on her solo album. 2019 saw the release of her debut single and the album Ayeyie Ndwom.
Since then, she has released more gospel songs, earning her a nomination for the 2017 Ghana Music Award UK.
With the release of her brand-new single, Me De Bena Wo, she was named “Uncovered Artiste Of The Year” winner.
