Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto – I’m a boss in Africa since food security in Ghana has improved

Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has said the stock of food worked on enormously under his supervision as the Minister of Food and Agriculture.

His responses come after AfricaSeeds, the carrying out office for the African Union Seed Program, regarded him with the title “Seed Champion of Africa” in 2019.

Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, introducing the Board of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) in Accra on Thursday, March 10, 2022, said “I have been offered a distinction of an honor by the African Union as the ‘Seed Champion’ of Africa so you’re addressing a champion…and it’s working.”

“Anyone who goes outside Accra into the nation will give testimony regarding me that food security in this nation has reinforced considerably.

Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto said, “Assuming you go the north, you will meet a great deal of trucks with unfamiliar number plates from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali picking grains from our ranchers, our business sectors in Ghana. This was actually the opposite before we came. We were bringing in food varieties from around the adjoining nations into this country,” he added.
