According to Footballghana.com, Spanish team Athletic Bilbao intends to offer Ghanaian Inaki Williams a 35 percent pay cut.

Athletic Bilbao will reduce Inaki Williams' pay by 35%.

The Black Stars forward’s time with the Spanish team is limited because of club financial restrictions.

The Ghanaian may only extend Williams’ contract with the Basque if he accepts a pay cut. Williams’ current deal with the Basque expires in the summer of 2028.

Footballghana.com has learned that if the Ghanaian international rejects a pay cut, Athletic Bilbao President Jon Uriarte may consider decreasing the release clause to facilitate his departure from the team.

In order to guarantee an affordable price for Premier League clubs, the Bilbao manager may think about cutting the forward’s release clause to 30 million.

The Ghana forward’s current release clause is 135 million euros.

The 28-year-old gets paid 7 million euros annually, which is a hardship for Athletic’s strained finances.

With four league goals and one assist, Inaki Williams has been in excellent form for the Basques.
