In related news, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia recently let the Majority Caucus know that he planned to run for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer position.
Dr. Bawumia is widely seen as the favorite to succeed President Akufo-Addo in 2024, but he will face opposition from Alan Kyeremanteng, a three-time candidate who resigned in January of this year to concentrate on his bid for the presidency.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr. Mustapha Hamid, reaffirmed his support for him and stated that there is no question that Dr. Bawumia will serve as the flagbearer.
